Built from the drawings, not from guesses
Every piece starts with the structural plans. We take off members, connections and plate, flag anything the plans do not answer, and turn it into shop drawings that show every cut length, hole, weld and piece mark. Fabrication starts only after the engineer and architect approve them.
What we fabricate
W-shape beams and girders, HSS square and round columns, channels and angles, base and cap plates, shear tabs, stiffeners, moment-connection plates, embed plates for concrete, lintels and ledger angles. Residential frames, commercial framing and one-off structural repairs are all in scope.
Field dimensions first
Plans show design intent; slabs, walls and existing framing show reality. Before steel is cut we verify the critical dimensions and elevations in the field, so columns land on their embeds and beams fit their pockets the first time.
Finish matched to the spec
Members are shipped hot-dip galvanized, shop-primed or bare, depending on what the structural notes and exposure call for. Where notes conflict, such as a prime-and-paint roof note against a galvanize-everything general note, we raise it as an RFI before ordering.
What the bid covers
- Plan takeoff and member/connection schedule
- Shop drawings for engineer and architect approval
- Field verification of critical dimensions
- Cutting, drilling, fitting and welding
- Galvanizing, primer or specified finish
- Piece-marking and delivery to the jobsite
Questions about structural steel fabrication
Do you work from an engineer's drawings?
Yes. Structural steel is fabricated from sealed structural plans and approved shop drawings. If a project does not have an engineer yet, we will tell you that one is needed and can coordinate with yours.
Can you fabricate a single beam or a small repair?
Yes. Single replacement beams, added columns and connection repairs are common. They still start with an onsite look and, where required, an engineer's design.
